  • My works are inspired by everyday life experiences, conversations and personal memory. For the last two years social distancing and isolation brought me back to seeing my immediate surroundings more closely in a more meaningful and meditative way. Regular mundane domestic works, simple objects, a forgotten corner of a table or an empty bowl became the allegory of anxiety, attachment and tension of personal struggle with alienation in everyday life. In these works I am trying to reinvent a feeling of the world I inhabit in terms of the formal properties of the material and within the context of an artistic journey which celebrates the union of observation, invention, and memory. Interior space, everyday used objects, cell phones, laptops, boxes, books and humans take the center stage in my works. Together they create an ominous dimension beyond the physicality of the objects and settings and transforms objects and space into mystical source of thought.
